COMPASS SURVEY

 COMPASS SURVEY ( कम्पास सर्वेक्षण) :- यदि सर्वेक्षण क्षेत्र काफी बड़ा हो तथा चेनिंग करने में बाधा हो तो ऐसी स्थिति में Angular Measurements Instrument के माध्ययम से सर्वेक्षण की जाती है । इस यंत्र के रूप में Prismatic Compass, Surveyor Compass इत्यादि प्रयोग में लाए जाते है। Prismatic या Surveyor Compass के माध्यम से किसी Line की Bearing मापी जाती है ।

BEARING :- यदि किसी लाइन की वह Horizontal Angle है जो किसी दिशा याम्योत्तर ( MERIDIAN) के सापेक्ष में बनती है।

Bearing of line :- किसी line की Bearing वह Horizontal angle है जो किसी लाइन के द्वारा Reflex direction या Meridian के साथ बनती है।

सर्वेक्षण कार्य में प्रयुक्त होने वाले Meridian निम्नलिखित हैं :-

1 . यथार्थ या भौगोलिक याम्योत्तर ( TRUE   OR GEOGRAPHICAL MERIDIAN )
2. चुम्बकीय याम्योत्तर (Magnetic Meridian)
3. स्वेच्छ याम्योत्तर (Arbitrary Meridian)

1. True Meridian :- पृथ्वी की वह अक्ष जिसके परिधर यह घूमती है Earth Surface को दो स्थानों पर काटती है या छेदती है यह दोनो बिन्दु क्रमश: North Geographical Pole एवं south Geographical Pole कहलाता है। किसी स्थान पर True meridian की दिशा वह दिशा है जो South Geographical pole , Surveyor station तथा North Geographical pole तीनों बिंदुओं को मिलाने वाली काल्पनिक रेजा है True Bearing के सापेक्ष में मापी गई Bearing True bearing कहलाता है।

2. Magnetic Meridian :- किसी सन्तुलित चुम्बकीय सुई को स्वतन्त्रता में लटकाने से एक विशेष दिशा में रुकती है यह दिशा उस स्थान पर magnetic Meridian की दिशा कहलाती है। किसी लाइन के द्वारा इस Meridian के सापेक्ष में बनाई गई Horizontal Angle उस लाइन की Magnetic bearing कहलाता है ।

3. Arbitrary Meridian :-  छोटे सर्वेक्षण कार्य के लिए कोई सुविधाजनक दिशा को Meridian के तौर पर प्रयोग में लाया जाता हैं इस प्रकार के Meridian को Arbitrary Meridian कहते है। Arbitrary Meridian तथा किसी लाइन के बीच बना कोण Arbitrary Bearing कहलाता है ।

A. Whole Circle Bearing System (W.C.B) or Azimuthal System

B. Quadrantal Bearing (Q.B) System
Or, Reduced Bearing System (R.B.S)

A. Whole Circle Bearing System (W.C.B) or Azimuthal System :- इस System में किसी लाईन की Bearing हमेशा North Direction से clockwise दिशा में ली जाती है तथा इस system में Bearing का मान (value) 0⁰ - 360⁰ के बीच होता है । इस system के मुख्य रूप से प्रिज्मैटिक कम्पास प्रयोग में लाए जाते हैं।

Quadrantal bearing system ( Reduced Bearing system ) :- इस पद्धति में किसी लाईन की Bearing North से clockwise या Anticlockwise Direction में मापी जाती है । किसी लाईन की bearing का मान N to E या W दिशा में अथवा South to w या E दिशा में 0⁰-90⁰ के बीच कुछ भी हो सकता है | इस system में यह परम आवश्यक है कि bearing लिखते समय वह दिशाएं अंकित की जाए जिस दिशा में Bearing ली गई है ( N या S ) तथा वह दिशा जिस तरफ Bearing मापी जा रही है (East या west)

NOTE  :- Forebearing and backbearing या Reverse Bearing किसी Line की Beaning उस लाइन के दोनो सिरो से मापी जाती है : अत: किसी Line की दो Bearing होती है जिन्हे क्रमश F.B और B.B या Reverse bearing कहते है ।
